| EAST MONTANA MIDDLE SCHOOL Clint ISD is one of the nine school districts in El Paso. Of these nine, Clint ISD is the largest and fastest growing district in the county. Clint ISD is often divided into three distinct areas known as the Horizon area, the East Montana area, and the Clint area. The East Montana area flanks State Highways 62 and 180. EMMS is located at 3490 Ascension Street. East Montana Middle School is one of the four middle schools in Clint ISD. Of the four schools, we have been recognized for three years (2001-2002, 2002-2003, and 2003-2004) been rated a five-star school by Texas Monthly and we are one of the top 13 schools in Texas as determined by the Texas Just for the Kids organization. East Montana Middle School also holds the title of the UIL Champion for seven consecutive years. Demographically, EMMS is 96.5% Hispanic 3.3% Anglo 0.1% African American 0.1% Other The total enrollment of students is currently 870. There are 62 faculty and staff members. EMMS offers a wide range of sports and activities such as Cross-country, Volleyball, Football, Basketball, Track, Softball, Baseball, Cheerleading, Choir, Dance, Mother-daughter, Band, Art, Student Council, Journalism, Video Technology-(KEMS), and UIL activities. Former EMMS Assistant Principal, Mrs. Hinojos, said, "The greatest thing about East Montana Middle School is the students. They really give a 100% effort in everything they do. It shows!"
