Dear Clint Community,
I would like to invite you to attend Open House at your child’s campus on either Wednesday, February 24th
or Thursday, February 25th
. The times for the specific campuses can be accessed on the following link: http://www.clintweb.net/index.cfm?go=openhouse
. We are fortunate to have such excellent parental support in our District. Our last Open House in the fall was wonderfully supported at each of our school communities. We look forward to seeing you again next week.
Congratulations to our High School Basketball teams for such great seasons. The Clint High School girls are the District 4-3A champs and have advanced to the area playoffs where they will face Lubbock Cooper in Monahans. The Horizon High School girls, the number two seed in District 2-4A, defeated Andress High School in bi-district play and will now face Canyon High School in Seminole. The Horizon High School Boys won an exciting game against the previously undefeated Canutillo High School with a thrilling last second shot by senior Sammy Chavez. They will now play the Riverside Rangers at Hanks High School. What an exciting week for high school basketball in Clint ISD! We are extremely proud of all our teams and wish them the best of luck as they continue in the playoffs.
Additionally, Clint High School had three students compete this past weekend in the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) All-State Band Competition. It is rare for students to advance to this level of competition yet, Sarah Leon, Ismael Beltran, and Eloy Ramirez each earned a spot on the coveted 2010 Association of Texas Small School Bands Symphonic Band, a very prestigious honor. Congratulations to these students, their instructors, parents and campus administration. We are extremely proud of their accomplishments.
Thank you as always for your support.
