IT Institute

Information Technology Institute(IT)

The Clint Independent School District offer s a challenging course of study for students who are in grades nine through twelve which focuses on and prepares them to become acquainted with and knowledgeable about the field of Information Technology.

The Goals of the Technology Institute are to graduate students who, after a four year course of study, will work towards:

  • The A+ Certification which indicates that they have acquired the essential skills for computer hardware service and repair.
  • The I-Net+ Certification which indicates that they have comprehensive knowledge of the Internet.
  • The Microsoft Certification which indicates that they can implement, configure, administer and trouble-shoot information systems
  • An entry level Information Technology position upon graduation.

The IT Institute is a Mountain View High School Program which will enroll approximately 25 ninth graders from the Clint District. Students will be required to apply and will be screened for participation in the program.

Transportation

Students who do not live within the district attendance zone must provide their own transportation

Distinguished Achievement Program
Upon successful completion of the IT Institute curriculum, students may be eligible to graduate under the Distinguished Achievement Program.
