The technology applications is a required curriculum for all K-8 teachers in the state of Texas as specified in Texas Education Code 28.002. It focuses on the teaching, learning and integration of digital technology knowledge and skills across the curriculum, especially in the core curriculum areas, to support learning and student achievement.(Ref. www.tea.state.tx.us/techology/ta/nclb.html)

The Clint Independent School District has a primary goal of student success and the pledge to continue to pursue excellence. Our vision is simple and clear, “Together…we build tomorrow.” The educational welfare of our children is our primary concern and we are committed in working together for the good of our community by building a bright future for the next generation. Technology has proven to have a large impact in our globally connected society.

This impact has greatly influenced how work is performed, how people access information and even the way in which people think and learn. The District recognizes the importance of adopting and fully utilizing new educationally significant technologies. These technologies serve as important tools in contributing to our students’ ability to reach their academic potential. Students who can employ technological methods to find and manage information, express themselves, and solve problems are students who can meet the challenges and cultural changes of the technology age ahead of them.
