• Volunteer Guidelines

  • ALL CLINT ISD VOLUNTEER(S) MUST:

    • Upon arrival to campus/building, volunteer(s) must report to the front desk and sign in for verification and/or clearance purposes.

    • Volunteer(s) will work under the direction of the assigned campus personnel.  Assigned campus personnel are responsible for the instructing, supervising, grading, and the disciplining of students.

    • Volunteer(s) will work in collaboration with school personnel to plan volunteer activities.

    • Volunteer(s) will communicate with assigned campus personnel for clear expectations, task assignments, and feedback on volunteer activity.

    • For the volunteer(s) safety and well-being, please do not bring own children to the campus/building while on duty. 

     


  •  CODE OF ETHICS FOR VOLUNTEER(S)

    All Volunteers shall be and/or have:

    • Dependable and responsible for scheduled times and must notify campus personnel immediately if the volunteer is not able to meet this commitment.

    • Respectful to the authority of school personnel and/or administration.

    • Remain impartial and will not favor one side or party more than another in all school situations.

    • Remain objective and not allow own personal feelings interfere with the work as a volunteer.

    • Good appearance and dress appropriately at all times, always remembering that volunteer(s) set the example for students.    

    • Adhere to confidentiality and not discuss school matters and/or information concerning students outside the classroom with anyone but the assigned campus personnel. If assistance is needed with a student, volunteer(s) must professionally seek assistance from the assigned campus personnel and/or teacher, counselor, or campus administrator.

      • Please notify a campus administrator immediately, if a student informs that he/she is the victim of sexual, emotional, chemical or physical abuse, or is considering homicide or suicide, or involved in any illegal activity. As a volunteer,  document the information reported and to whom it was given.  

      •  All information heard about a student and sharing that information with others other than the campus administrator may be a violation of the law; information may be sensitive and extremely personal.  


    *All student volunteer(s) must also refer to the Student Standards of Conduct.
