• Special Education Continuum of Services

     Continuum of placement for preschool children with disabilities

    • Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE):

    A co-taught inclusive support Pre-K classroom, for 3-4-year-old children with disabilities, staffed with both a general education and special education teacher who jointly plan, deliver and assess instruction for ALL students in the general education class.

    • Kinder Collaborative:

    A co-taught inclusive support Kindergarten classroom staffed with both a general education and special education teacher who jointly plan, deliver, and assess instruction to ALL students in the general education class.

    Continuum of services for students receiving special education services in grades 1st - 12th

    • Homebound services:

    A specialized support provided in the home to students who are medically unable to attend school.

    • Developmental Skills Classroom (DSC):

    A specialized classroom support for students who need functional and independent living skills, with a focus to prepare students for the STAAR ALT 2.

    • Structured Learning Environment Classroom (SLE):

    A specialized classroom support designed for students with severe to profound communication delays, lack of social communication, and exhibit behavior challenges.

    • Behavior Adjustment Classroom (BAC):

    A specialized classroom support designed for students with severe emotional/behavior challenges.

    • Academic Skill Classroom/Resource Support (ASC):

    A specialized classroom support for students with academic deficits.

    • Resource Support:

    A specialized support provided outside of the general education classroom in a special education setting for a portion of the day.

    • Co-Taught Support in the General Education Classroom:

    A general education support where special education and general education teachers work collaboratively to support students receiving special education services in the general education classroom.

    • Support Facilitation in the General Education Classroom:

    A general education support where special education paraprofessionals assist general education teachers to support students receiving special education services in the general education classroom.
