Clint ISD Staff Update on School Building Practices During I-LEARN@HOME
Dear Clint ISD Family,
We hope that you are doing well and are ready to begin our 2020-2021 school year. Attached is a document outlining our district’s School Building Practices during ILEARN@HOME. The document includes information on safety protocols we will follow to help with the prevention, response, and mitigation of the COVID-19 virus while you are at school or district building. This document only outlines procedures on the return of our staff members. A separate document will be created geared toward our students and parents once we begin offering in-person, face-to face instruction.
Teachers and instructional staff will be returning to school buildings on Tuesday, July 21st, for professional development and to prepare for the upcoming school year. Instruction will begin on Monday, July 27th with teachers providing instruction from their classroom while students remain at home.
Clint ISD staff members who work at a school building or visit the school buildings please read the attached information. Once you have read it please complete the Google Form below. If you have any questions about district-wide protocols, you may enter these into the form and you will receive a response back from a district team member. If you have questions about specific campus procedures, please reach out to your campus principal.
Required Steps before Returning On-Site:
- Here is a brief overview video explaining the steps: https://youtu.be/fgn8VNGoH9I
- For everyone's safety, all campus staff and district staff who visit school buildings must read the Safety Protocols document: School Building Practices During I-LEARN@HOME
- After reading the document, fill out the Google Form: (Link included in the email to staff)
As the trajectory of the virus continues to evolve, the safety protocols we must follow will also evolve. For now, our main goal is for all of us to return to a safe work environment and at the same time provide a world class education for all our students. Let us work safely to ensure that our students don't miss a beat in their education.

Clint ISD PRESS RELEASE
The Texas Education Agency has been providing guidelines for beginning the Fall 2020 school semester throughout June to July 2, 2020. At this point, Clint ISD has used that information to create and announce our plan for instructing our students. To ensure the safety of our students and staff we have created a plan which we have named – I-LEARN@HOME.
The plan will be as follows:
1. Clint ISD will begin classes on July 27, 2020 as originally scheduled.
- All Students will attend the I-LEARN@HOME program where our staff will be back in their classrooms, providing instruction, and students will remain safely at home, learning. This will take effect from July 27, 2020 through September 25, 2020. At that time, the District will review the recommendations by the county, state and Texas Education Agency for face-to-face instruction and determine for the next grading period the instructional setting for our students.
- During the First Nine Weeks, teachers will be in their classroom, utilizing the camera for live streaming, recording content and lessons, and using computer and software systems to provide real-time virtual instruction to our students at their homes. This system has been named the I-LEARN system, or Instructional Learning Environment Audio Resource Network, and is an integrated system of equipment and software that will support our teachers with using technology to deliver instruction.
- Clint ISD has installed the I-LEARN system in over 700 classrooms and has also purchased the G Suite for Education tools for all teachers. These resources will enable our teachers to broadcast instructional activities direct from our classrooms to our students as well as capture the lesson broadcasts for later viewing.
The I-LEARN@HOME instructional program will allow our teachers access to the tools they need to provide direction instruction while they remain safe through social distancing and it will also allow our students to be instructed at higher levels while social distancing.
District employees will be allowed to bring their school-aged children to work with them if they are from the same household and are CLINT ISD students.
Information is still being released weekly by the TEA which the District will continue to review and refine in the upcoming weeks. The District administration will continue to monitor the current situation and create the best plan for our employees and students.
