    The Clint Independent School District (Clint ISD) encompasses a diverse, geographically large area (379.9 square miles) within the Upper Rio Grande border region, 25 miles east of El Paso. The Far East El Paso area is one of the fastest developing areas in the county.

    Clint ISD encompasses three major, separate and distinct communities – the Town of Clint, a stable farming and ranching area; the town of Horizon City, a growing suburban area; and the community of Montana Vista, an unincorporated area. The town of Clint is located in the fertile valley area on State Highway 20, approximately 18 miles southeast of El Paso. Horizon City and the Montana Vista areas are situated in the high desert to the north. The Montana Vista area flanks State Highways 62 and 180, about 24 miles to the north of Clint. Horizon City is also in the high desert at the midpoint of the district.

    With an enrollment of approximately 10,100 students, Clint ISD has 14 campuses – four high schools, four middle/junior high schools and six elementary schools. 

    The District’s "College for All" initiative provides K-12 students in Clint ISD opportunities to explore and prepare for post-secondary education and career preparation. College preparedness programs help students prepare for college entrance exams, as well as goal-setting, college and career exploration, college applications, essay writing, scholarship and financial aid research. Students are able to earn college course credit while in high school. The Clint ISD Early College Academy allows high school students to earn their high school diploma while also earning a college degree.

    All of the comprehensive high schools offer Pathways in Technology Early College High School (P-TECH) Dual Credit options that will lead to an Associate degree. Events and support is scheduled at all campuses to ensure that all seniors have the opportunity to enroll at the University of Texas at El Paso. In addition, the District has implemented the Senior’s Scholarship Fund to raise money to provide college scholarships to graduating seniors in Clint ISD. Clint ISD annually has a graduation rate that averages about 96% and a College Military Readiness rate that averages 96%. 

    Clint ISD students can choose from an array of athletics and fine arts programs to enhance their educational experience. Elective programs also include foreign languages, robotics, drones, computer science and honors courses. Each high school also offers Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC) programs,dual credit, and college prep programs. To prepare for the workforce after high school, students are afforded the opportunity to enroll in courses in the District’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) program .

    Admission to these programs is based on enrollment in the CTE program of study under a student's selected endorsement.

    The District employs approximately 1600 full-time staff. The District’s 700 teachers are among the highest paid compared to other districts in the county. Of the nine school districts in El Paso County, Clint is the largest in square mileage and has great potential for growth.

    The Clint ISD Central Administration Building is located at 14521 Horizon Blvd. in Horizon City and District offices are open from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday.
