Prohibited Weapon 

Code 14 - Conduct Containing the Elements of an Offense Relating to Prohibited Weapons Under the Penal Code 46.05 - TEC 37.007(a)(1) 

House Bill 1862, 38rd legislative session, revised the definition of prohibited weapons in Texas Penal Code 46.05 to exclude switchblade knives. 

As a result of this change, there are two options for reporting incidents involving switchblade knives: 

1. Discipline Action Reason Code '12' - illegal knife 
2. Discipline Action Reason Code '21' - Violation of the Student Code of Conduct
