Change of Placement Requirement 

A change of placement shall occur when the removal exceeds 10 or more consecutive days, and when the removal exceeds 10 or more cumulative days in a school year based on the length of each removal, the total amount of the time the child is removed, and the proximity of the removals to one another. 

An ARD committee must be involved when the removal of series of removals constitute a change in placement
