CDC COVID-19 Symptoms & Testing

 

Your best defense against COVID-19 is to stay informed and follow social distancing and shelter in place procedures.

 

IF YOU HAVE SYMPTOMS:

Call your doctor:  If you think you have been exposed to COVID-19 and develop a fever and symptoms, such as cough or difficulty breathing, call your healthcare provider for medical advice. 

 

COVID-19 SYMPTOMS:

Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure. Patients with COVID-19 have reportedly had mild to severe respiratory illness. Symptoms can include:

Fever (100.4 or above)

Cough

Shortness of breath

 

IF YOU GET SICK

If you are sick with COVID-19 or suspect you are infected with the virus that causes COVID-19, follow the steps below to help prevent the disease from spreading to people in your home and community.

  • Stay at home and avoid public areas.
  • Stay away from others.
  • Wear a face mask or cover your coughs and sneezes.
