Clint ISD Selected to Host State Robotics Competition

Clint ISD Hosts VEX Robotics State Competition

Clint ISD is proud to be selected as the host of the 2019-2020 State of Texas Region 1 VEX Robotics Championship! Clint ISD is excited to welcome the best and brightest young robotics engineers to Clint High School on Saturday, March 14, 2020. The event kicks off bright and early at 8 a.m.

The VEX Robotics Competition, presented by the Robotics Education and Competition Foundation, is an exciting engineering challenge where students build innovative robots and compete throughout the year at local qualifier events to earn a spot at the state competition.

The state contest will bring together qualifying teams from Canutillo to Abilene and everywhere in between. During the competition, teams will be tasked with designing and building a robot to challenge other team robots in a game-based engineering challenge. Classroom STEM concepts are put to the test as students learn lifelong skills in teamwork, leadership, communications, and more.

Winners from the state competition will advance to the VEX Robotics World Championship held in Kentucky in April.
